Richmond Night Market a must stop for good eats
I decided to check out the Richmond Night Market over the weekend, after hearing from so many people what a great experience it was.
Being a first-time visitor, I wasn't sure what to expect. The admission fee was a surprise, but at just $1.50, it wasn't going to break the bank.
The main attraction of the Richmond Night Market is definitely the food section, with over 500 different types of food on offer. I was astounded by the vast array of food stalls to choose from: BBQ Squid, BBQ skewers, ice cream waffles and so much more.

One that immediately caught my eye was the Rotato, the ultimate spiral cut potatoe on a stick. I am a huge potato lover: mashed, roasted, baked, but I had never tried a potato on a stick. There were many flavors to choose from including chedder cheese, ketchup, BBQ, salt and vinegar and sour cream and onion.
We decided to go for the BBQ flavor and were not disappointed with our choice as we devoured it in no time at all. The Rotato stall was definitely the most popular out of all the food vendors that evening.

My husband decided he wanted to try the BBQ Beef skewers with spagetthi. Sucluent beef with tangy bbq sauce left the hubby very satsified. I think he would also agree with the name 'best BBQ in town'

Besides my love of potatoes my other weakness is my sweet tooth, I absolutely love desserts. So when we walked by the blue school bus labeled "deep fried cheesecake", I knew there was no turning back.
I decided to order the Reese's Peanut Butter Deep Fried Cheesecake. This dessert is so rich that it needs to be shared. Creamy and a soft mix of cream cheese and sugar, surrounded by a deep fried wrapper covered with reese's pieces toppings, the dessert was very sweet -- but very delicious.

Aside from the food section and marketplace, there was live entertainment at various places throughout the night market. They provided a great sense of atmosphere as people wandered the market during a lazy summer eveing and enjoyed their dinner.
