Valentine's Day: seven most romantic Vancouver restaurants

Stuck on where to take your date for Valentines Day? Want to make a good impression for a new flame? Here are a few excellent romantic restaurant choices.

Romantic Restaurants for Valentine's Day

Le Gavroche: Romantic and intimate restaurant with fantastic service and incredible food. Serves classic French food. Le Gavroche serves an amazing and highly recommended Coquille Saint Jacques (Scallops in garlic cream sauce).

Price: $30 - $45

Seasons in the Park: Inside of Queen Elizabeth Park, the restaurant has a breathtaking view of the city, so be sure to request a table with a view. Seasons serves northwestern cuisine with an emphasis on seafood. Be sure to check out their Valentine’s Day menu for $39 per person.

Price: $15 –  $35

Tramonto at River Rock: Quiet and romantic atmosphere with a view of the Fraser River. This restaurant is located inside of River Rock casino so you and your date can head down into the casino after dinner for some entertainment.

Price: $20 - $40

Five Sails Restaurant:   An intimate restaurant with an extraordinary water-side view. Five Sails is rated as one of Vancouver’s best restaurants with an assortment of fresh seafood.  Chefs Ernst Dorfler and Gerry Sayers have also created a special Valentines menu for the occasion. 

Price: $36 - $40

Fleuri at the Sutton: Romantic lighting, quiet conversation and a spacious dining room. Fleuri offers an array of delicious French food but the real treat here is the dessert—a chocolate buffet. Enjoy an assortment of chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, chocolate fondue and anything else you can imagine.

Price: $ 20 - 35

Stonegrill: For a unique dinner date, head down to Stonegrill and have fun  cooking your meals on a hot slab of stone while enjoying the waterside view. After dinner, take a walk down to the pier and stop by one of the many restaurants around for a scoop of ice cream or a bite of pie.

Price: $30 - $50

Tableau Bar Bistro has also created a romantic Valentine’s day adventure for two that includes a tasty three course meal  and a night at Loden’s Hotel in a signature king suite filled with chocolate strawberries, champagne and roses. To amp the romance factor even more, the hotel provides a luxurious rose petal bath with candles and bath bombs.
