New food vendors set to hit Vancouver's streets
Nineteen new street food vendors were announced by the City today. Here's is a list of locations and menus in alphabetical order.
Cartel Taco
West side of 500 Dunsmuir. Korean beef, pork, tofu tacos.
Chawalla
East side of 800 Howe St. Paratha (Pakastani/Indian flatbread), sweat teas.
Didi's Greek
South side of 1700 Robson St. Souvlaki, Spanikopita, Greek salad.
Feastro The Rolling Bistro
Thurlow St. at West Cordova. Seafood chowders,seafood tacos, prawns, oysters, fish and chips, potato/yam fries, pork tacos.
Finest At Sea
South east corner of Robson and Hornby. Fish tacos, fish sandwiches, vegetable kabobs, coleslaw.
Kiss Kiss Banh Banh
North west corner of Howe and Robson. Korean Banh Mi subs, salads, coffee.
Mangali
North side 900 West Georgia. Kebabs, couscous, lafah, Mediterranean chickpea salad.
Mom's Grilled Cheese Truck
600 Hornby St. Grilled sandwiches, chili, soup.
Nu Souvlaki
North side 800 Dunsmuir. Meat and vegetable souvlaki.
Off The Wagon
600 Howe St. Tacos.
Osa Tako Hero
South side 800 West Pender. Takoyaki (Japanese octopus dumpling).
Roaming Dragon
East side 900 Burrard St. Porkbelly sliders, chicken kaarage, banh mi, duck confit salad, rice balls, soba noodle soup, fruit.
Roaming Dragon 2 (New name coming soon)
East side 800 Burrard St. Sandwiches, shepherds pie, matzah balls, chili, soup, fruit.
Soho Road Naan Kebab
West side 900 Howe St. Beef kebabs, tandoori chicken burgers, masala fries, chai tea.
Tacofina Cantina
1800 Morton St. Tacos, burritos, soup, fruit and vegetable skewers, juice.
The Hut
South side 1200 Pacific Blvd. Vegetarian wraps, burgers, quesadillas, sweet potato fries.
The Juice Truck
200 Abbott St. Fresh fruit and vegetable juce and smoothies.
Re-up BBQ
South side 800 Robson. Pulled pork sandwiches, beef brisket sandwiches, chili, southern sweet tea.
Trailer
West side 1100 Burrard. Asian BBQ meat, fruit and vegetables.
This new selection of street vendors offers a wide variety of ethnically diverse chioces to the consumer. There are some issues with the new selection process that I have covered extensivley in my blog which you can read here. Overall the program is exciting and I personally can't wait to hit the streets and try them all.
