Oh, my Bananaphone! Canada's best-loved children's entertainer Raffi Cavoukian ("Raffi") is coming to town. Poopidoopidoop!

Raffi's sure to make Vancouver families wriggle with joy with his "#belugagrads - Concert" announcement: Their favourite funny face is coming to Vancouver on October 21, 2012, part of his West Coast tour.

“I’m delighted to be singing songs for children and their families again,” said the "Baby Beluga" singer in a press release.

When Raffi brings his fun, bouncy music to the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts, his youngest fans will get to sing and dance to family favourites like "Down By The Bay" and "Bananaphone" and "Boom Boom Ain't it Great to be Crazy."

After the show, adoring fans will have an opportunity to meet the "Canada’s all time children’s champion," the guy who made children's music fun for parents, too.

All proceeds will benefit the Centre for Child Honouring. The centre  advocates for social change.  Raffi founded the centre in 2010 on Salt Spring Island.

"Its positive vision stresses the importance of the early years as the basis of all decisions that affect both our own and future generations" the rock star for toddlers said.

Raffi is also a recipient of the Order of Canada and the United Nations’ Earth Achievement Award. "His commitment to honouring his young fans changed society’s outlook on music made for children," stated the release.

The gold and platinum-selling folk singer's albums and DVDs have sold over 15 million copies in Canada and the US, including more than 3 million “Songs to Read”® books, according to his website.

Ticket prices for “#belugagrads – Family Concert” are $25.00, $32.50 and $55.00 (plus applicable fees and service charges). The $55.00 tickets will include an opportunity to meet Raffi in person after the show.  Proceeds will benefit The Centre for Child Honouring.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 22 at 10am.

Tickets for the Vancouver show are available online, by phone at 1-855-985-5000 or in person at all Ticketmaster outlets.
