Public Dreams Society, the organizer behind volunteer-driven and community-oriented events like the Illuminares and Parade of Lost Souls will be celebrating its 25th anniversary on September 24th. The not-for-profit society has been facilitating free, large-scale community celebrations and fantastical performances that have become part of Vancouver’s cultural landscape. Against the stark backdrop of the recession and dramatic cuts in arts funding, Public Dreams is reaching out to the public for financial support to continue the Parade of Lost Souls.

The event will feature:

  • global pop trio Pacifika
  • Afro-Brazilian percussion troupe Sambata
  • DJ Timothy Wisdom, DJ Lady Lane & DJ Gudz
  • Art installations & Roving performances by Public Dreams artists
  • Silent Auction including Group of Seven Original Artwork

It will take place at  W2 Storyeum, 151 West Cordova St, Friday, September 24th, 8:00 pm.
