#Flahertyjobs tweets mock Jim Flaherty's "no bad jobs" comment

Read More:

Finance Minister Jim Flaherty's "no bad jobs" comment backfired on social media today, with people from across Canada posting crappy jobs (many of them fictional) with the hashtag #flahertyjobs.

"The guy who has to explain Climate Change to Peter Kent" tweeted @DanSpeerin, who started the trend earlier this afternoon.

" Fresh orange juice squeezer for Bev Oda," tweeted @trapdinawrlpool, in reference to the Conservative MP's recent spending spree scandal.

"Twenty something destined to be Harper regime's fall guy for incident of scandalous corruption " offered @equalitybfast.

Flaherty meant his comment to be a nod to blue-collar work -- "I drove a taxi, I refereed hockey," he told reporters -- but opposition criticized his suggestion that some Canadians were out of work because they were being too choosy about their jobs.

In the style of the recent twitter trend #TellVicEverything -- which blasted Public Safety Minister Vic Toews over his "online spying" bill -- Canadians unleashed their political humour with jobs ideas that poked fun at the federal government.
