Police warn of high-risk offender Robert Trice on the loose
Vancouver Police are requesting the public’s help to find a high risk offender wanted Canada-wide for breaching his conditions of a long-term supervision order.
Robert John Trice, 48, who also goes by Robert John Minler and Gary Blain Shannon, did not return on Thursday, August 23, to the halfway house in Vancouver where he was residing. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Trice’s most recent convictions were in 1999 for break and enter, aggravated assault, forcible confinement, and assault with a weapon after he forced his way into the Penticton home of an 89-year-old woman, held a knife to her throat, threatened to kill her, and assaulted her after removing her clothes and tying her up.
He is white, 5’10″ tall, 190 lbs, has brown hair, hazel eyes, and has been known to wear glasses. He has tattoos of an eagle on his left forearm and a skull and cross bones on his right arm.
It is not known where Trice, who has been deemed a moderate to high-risk to reoffend both violently and sexually, may have gone.
Anyone who sees Robert Trice is asked not to approach him and tp call 9-1-1 immediately.
