City offers range of payment options for July 5 tax deadline
The City of Vancouver is offering property owners a range of payment options to ensure property taxes are paid by midnight, Monday, July 5.
Payments can be made:
- at banks, in person or online, and ATMs
- online for Home Owner Grant claims at vancouver.ca/grant
- via epost
- mail in (PO Box 7747 Station Terminal, Vancouver, BC, V6B 8R1)
- in person at City Hall.
Residents are urged to consider paying online via banks or through the City’s website for Home Owner Grant claims. The City offers epost™, which allows tax payers to receive tax notices electronically, claim grants and integrate with online banking to make payments.
The City’s website (vancouver.ca) allows tax payers to determine taxes due, submit changes of address, obtain application forms for the Tax Installment Prepayment Plan, and find answers to the most common tax questions.
Individual account balances can be found at: vancouver.ca/propertyinquiry
Most questions can also be answered by phoning the City’s information service at
3-1-1 between 7 am and 10 pm.
A drop box is also located at the front door of City Hall and in the lobby area to receive payments up to midnight, July 5.
Tax notices were mailed to property owners in the last week of May. The City issues tax notices twice a year. The due dates every year are the second business day of February and the second business day of July.
