We're happy that our friends are putting on so many fun, exciting and engaging events this week including: dressing up as Waldo look a-likes, dancing to amaJING world beats, and skating! Not only is this week jam-packed but we have a whole lot of events coming up so be sure to start booking your calendar early as some events have already sold out (including Cause & Affect's Vol.15 Pecha Kucha). Unfortunately the Masala Bee will be out of the country for the next two weekends as he'll BEE enjoying the hot beaches of Miami. But not to worry the Queen Bee Lorien and Honey Bee Steve will still be heating things up for the Valentine's celebrations.

We hope you enjoy our curated list for February 10 - 13th + Beyond!

Bee Vancity TOP 3 FAVE events:

1. Where's Waldo Flashmob, vol.2
Sun Feb 13 2-430pm | Brentwood Station | Free

Our friends at Vancouver Improv Anywhere (Larry Piché & Michelle Pelchat) are trying to get as many people as possible to dress up as Waldos and walk around parts of Brentwood + Metrotown Malls! The catch- only ONE person is going to be fully dressed with all of the correct accessories (tuque, glasses, cane and shoes). If people ask what we're doing: we're LOOKING FOR WALDO! Even if you don't dress up, trust us bees it'll be fun to watch.

2. Beats Without Borders presents OKA
Fri Feb 11 8 PM | Biltmore | $15 - $20

Our friends at Beats Without Borders (Nils, Lady Ra) always put on an amazing show and this night may just top the rest. OKA is phatt organic earth rhythms in a smooth hi-fidelity sound that  is full of uplifting melodies, tones and textures, all cooked over raw didgeridoo rhythms and dance driven grooves - a celebration of Australian cultures, sinking deep into the roots of the Asia Pacific region. As a live collective, no two gigs are the same, the OKA flavor is their own hybrid of feel good Roots, Reggae, Dub and Jazz, marinated in Electronica and served on Island Time.
